Bulova
In 1875, Joseph Bulova, a 23 year old immigrant from Bohemia, opened a small jewelry shop on Maiden Lane in New York City. In 1912, Bulova set up its first plant dedicated to the production of watch components and their assembly into jeweled movements in Bienne, Switzerland. After World War I, due to the convenience of wristwatches as compared to pocket watches, Bulova Watch introduced the first full line of men’s jeweled wristwatches.
Although the ownership of Bulova has changed hands a few times, one thing remains, Bulova Watch continues to be an American brand that emphasizes style, quality and value in each of its timepieces.
